Download to Markdown converts PDFs, Word files, images, and scans into structured Markdown from a browser.

What it is

The service combines direct document parsing with OCR. Digital PDF and DOCX files are parsed from their internal structure where possible. Scanned pages and images use OCR. The result is stored as Markdown and delivered after email verification.

How the product is described

The canonical product name is Download to Markdown. The site does not claim that every layout converts perfectly. Each format page documents expected behavior, known limitations, and when a local tool is the better choice.

What is next

A reproducible document-to-Markdown benchmark is planned, but results will not be published until the test files, scoring method, tool versions, outputs, and losing cases can be released together.
